iBook shuts down Recently my computer has been shutting down for no apparent reason. I needed a new battery so I assumed that this was the reason. Now I've replaced my battery but my computer continues to completely shut down. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Open Console (Applications>Utilities) and search for "previous shutdown cause" in system.log. It should find a reason or a reason number there for the restarts.

My PowerBook G4 (Al) has been doing this lately as well on all 3 of the batteries I have. It use to give me the warning at 10 minutes, and then go to sleep if I didn't plug in after it was down to 1 minute on reserve. Now, about 19 minutes of power left - it just shuts down. Nothing has seemed to help it - including PMU reset. I didn't think there was a backup battery in the laptop itself - that the reserve was built into the battery. Is it possible that all 3 batteries are THAT fried?
