non of my server harddisks can be formatted

i posted this somewhere else and i am oping to get fast help. Its saturday afternoon here

ever since i used carbon copy cloner to back up my server's startup disk, i wasnt able to unmount any other internal harddisk on the server.i need to format the drives to make a clean start for the students home directory but in vain.i tried disk utility , disk warrior but nothing worked. i am not a unix persont but i also took the risk of using the umount comand interminal but nothing happend. i have the G4 Xserve with 4 bays and none is working with me.

tried to use the lsof +D /Volumes/drives and this is the output on one of the drives:
