Question Processor Transplant.

OK, by processor transplant I want to take my Intel Chip out of my Dell Inspiron 1300 and put it in my iMac G5 - Yet I have two questions
1.WILL IT EVEN WORK!??!
2. Will I be able to put the G5 processor in the laptop?

thanks very much

1. no. different architecture, changing processor is not like swapping RAM
2. No. same as above, and it would be far too hot for a laptop. as temperature.

No and no. It's architecturally and physically impossible.

The logic boards on both systems are totally different and only work within their respective architectures. Even physically they would not work since they most likely aren't pin compatible.

EDIT:

DAMN....too slow.
