2STF/8/3:A Error result from hardware test

I did a hardware test to see if my video card was going bad and I got this error detected message regarding the mass storage, 2STF/8/3:A Upper. I think it has to do with the upper drive in my Dual 2 GHz Power PC G5 running OS10.4.9. Question 1 - Is this fixable with some disc utility and Question 2 - Could this type of problem affect the display quality of an image in Photoshop?
Thanks,

Chip Forelli

2STF/8/3:A error

I had this same problem on a G5. I called Apple and they told me it was a write error on the hard drive. The solution is to replace the drive.
