Lampshade iMac 1.0 Convert Monitor?

I have a Lampshade iMac 1.0 1Ghz. I've had so many problems with it I am giving up. I want to convert it to use it as a monitor for my Mac Mini. I've cracked it open and now need some help.
I know I'll have to use the power supply inside.
I had hoped there was a simple VGA type connector inside like was in the older iMacs. Can't find one...
I've heard of this being done before. Does anyone have advice or know where I can get further instructions?
Anyone want the motherboard?
R
