| USB PCIe cards
I am looking for a USB 2 PCIe card for a Mac Pro. Some of them seem pricey. I have found two reasonably priced cards: NEC PCI-Express x1 to 4+1-Port USB 2.0 Controller Card and Masscool XWT-PCIE01 5-Port USB 2.0 PCI Express Card - PCI Express x1, USB 2.0, 4 x External, 1 x Internal. Neither card mentions Macintosh compatibility. Does anyone know if they are compatible? Are there any other cards priced below $40.00? Any experiences with these cards? Thanks |

How about the one at http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/usb/a...i-pcmcia-cards Says its for a Macpro, gives ya extra firewire as well. 49 not 40 but still a decent price, the Sonnet ones are 70 dollars I think.

I really do not need the extra Firewire port and would prefer not to have to pay for it. The two cards I mentioned are $29.95 and $34.95 respectively.

| Two months on, which card did you buy eventually? I'm in the market now for a Sonnet Allegro, which is US$30 in the US direct from Sonnet, slightly cheaper from OWC. The price is three times that here in NZ!
