stingrayj is on a distinguished road
how repartition a external HD

I have a 250GB Lacie HD. I want to repartition it from five 42GB drives to two.

(I can delete everything in present HDs, as have copied over to new mac)

Despite a Google cannot find info. Any clues?

Attach your hard drive to your Mac.
Open your Disk Utility.
Click on your hard drive - with 5 partitions, you should click on the top manufacturer's info line for your LaCie.
Click the Partition tab
Click the Volume Scheme drop-down, and choose 2 partitions from the list.
You can name each new partition from that screen, if you like.
Click the Apply button, then Continue.
Wait for about 30 seconds.
And, there you go!
