jerky mouse on my mac pro

Hi guys, im really confused here. I recently got the 2.26 Octo with the radeon HD 4780. When i first got it, I used an LG LCD monitor, L1953. Everything was fine except for the mouse. I bought a new monitor from Samsung, 2233sw, connect it with DVI and everything was perfect. So i decided to use my LG as the 2nd display, and guess wat, now both monitors have jerky mouse. Note, only the mouse, videos running seems fine.

So I thought the problem was with my LG monitor. So I got a Samsung 931bf from work and its still the same problem. It seems to work fine with the new Samsung LCD.

Am I right to say that the mac pro / radeon HD 4780 is only compatible to newer LCDs? with HDCP or faster response rates? All monitors are set to 60HZ.

Are you sure it has nothing to do with the surface that you're using the mouse on? Most optical mice tend to have some trouble with certain surfaces. You could try using it over a mouse pad if you have one available to see if things resolve.

nope. Everything is 100% fine when im using the new Samsung LCD. For the older LG and Samsung LCD, there isnt the slightest problem when i used them with my PPC G4. Like i said, my mac mouse cursor is only jerky when i use my older lcds.

I guess the only problem is either the incompatibility between the Radeon with the older LCDs or the cables that i use are wrong. Must i use VGA cables for older LCDs?
