g5 and 2nd monitor

I bought an LG 2nd monitor. The g5 has two screen outlets. The 2nd monitor has a vga AND dvi but only came with dvi cable, which will not fit into the mac.

Well I am guessing that you are referring to the PowerMac G5, but if I'm remembering correctly that in all of the G5's there was either an ADC or DVI connection and not VGA.....

So just buy a VGA to VGA cable.

There is no ordinary VGA area in the back of the G5. It is a smaller plug than the one I am using for my main computer. I bought a connector, it does not work - the distal end is a 24 pin, nothing fits together.

My biggest mistake was probably not asking what your first monitor is.... Which is?
Well I'm guessing it's the only other connection the G5 ever had.... The ADC... Unless that's what your already using, and the DVI is the one you aren't.
I'm guessing you see these two on the back?
