| iMac display problem
Been using this Graphite iMac since 2000 (G3) and now the display has gone weird. It's as if I highlighted the whole screen. For instance, the Apple icon at the upper left-hand corner is now orange. I've tried changing everything I can think of but nothing changes Thanks PS I just noticed that the login screen is normally colored and stays that way as long as I don't log in. Once I login, it changes to the reverse coloring. PPS Just had an idea. I set up another user account and the display is normal again. However, now I have to figure out how to get all my folders and files into the new account. Is there an easy way to do this (probably a question for another forum) Last edited by ranchorama; October 27th, 2009 at 08:21 PM. |

You probably turned on high-contrast mode ("White on black"), which is an option in the System Preferences under "Universal Access." You can toggle this on and off by pressing command-option-control-8, or by visiting the Universal Access pane of the System Preferences and selecting "Black on white" under "Display:" in the "Seeing" pane.
