    Mac-Mini video problem

I have a 1st gen mac mini. Recently, the video stopped working, or is working intermittently. Just the other day it was working fine. Today the typical gray screen comes up and then the screen starts getting fuzzy and eventually goes to black. Every now and then the monitor will try to wake up out of sleep mode, but there's no output apparently, so it goes back to sleep. The problem isn't the monitor because usually the mac is connected via dvi-hdmi to a 46" HDTV, and I also tried on a 22" monitor with the same results.

I have reset the PRAM a few times. Opened it up, removed the cmos battery, put it back and no change. I have even reinstalled 10.3 clean and then upgraded to 10.4. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Justin

I think you have the right idea...
Your "video has stopped working, or is working intermittently"
You could try a different video cable, but sounds like your video is going out. It's all on the logic board.
If you still have the original restore DVDs, you can try the hardware test which will be listed on the label of one of the disks.
Anyway, the fix would be replacing the logic board.
Serendipity is a lucky guess !
