iMac Screen: Line of Broken Pixels HELP

I brought my iMac out of sleep today and noticed that there is a vertical line of broken flashing pixels going down the entire screen. The line is 1pixel thick and stretches from the bottom to the top of the screen.

Is there any way to fix this?

More than likely the LCD panel needs replaced to fix it. I've seen and repaired enough of the iMacs like yours with the same issue to say its not uncommon with those iMacs. You'll need either the LCD replaced or you can mirror the video to an external monitor to get you by.

Is that line of pixels on one edge, or is it some distance from the edge?
I guess I'm asking if it's in an 'annoying' area; or on the edge where you might choose to ignore it?
Like djackmac, I've replaced a lot of LCD panels for this kind of issue. Not a pleasant prospect when out of warranty, I admit.
Serendipity is a lucky guess !

It's almost at the halfway point of the screen. I guess I'll ignore it. It's time to upgrade and grab a new computer next year anyways.
