    Where to buy Airport card?

This is already the second time my Airport card has failed in my Macbook Pro 13 in 2010 version. The first time it did i brought it to a repair shop which a reseller outsources its servicing to and i was set back by a whopping S$480. Thinking of DIY this time - thanks in advance!

There is a wide range in prices, just for the airport card - Apple part is 661-5593
    $120 http://www.macpartsonline.com/661-55...010-a1278.html
    $50 http://www.powerbookmedic.com/MacBoo...d-p-18059.html
    $390 (!) http://www.memory4less.com/m4l_itemd...FYGK4AodI3sR2w
And - these prices are for the US/Can/Latin America. I guess that you are not one of those? The card would be different for other world regions, and might be only found locally, but I don't know that for sure. One region's card will not work in other regions.

Do you know where your airport card is located inside your MBPro?
Are you anywhere close to an Apple Store (not a reseller)?
Serendipity is a lucky guess !

And - where do you live? (city & country is enough)

How do you know that your airport card has failed?

Singapore. The symptoms were like the first time it did and i brought it for repair. Suddenly could not detect any wifi nextworks and all wifi-related settings declared to be "failed".

Could be a good help to find a retailer with an in-store service shop. I don't know if you have those in Singapore, but it might be worthwhile asking for that.
Perhaps your first repair is still replaceable under warranty, typically less than 90 days after that repair, or whatever warranty is left on your MacBook Pro, whichever is longer.
Serendipity is a lucky guess !
