PB 800 hing-lip defect?

My PB 800 has a crack by the left hing that holds the "lid" on. It is part of the frame. I sent it back to apple to get it repaired before my warrenty went up. I got a call from them saying it is due to mis use. I have a case for it, i have taken better care of this machine than i have of myself. It is going to cost $650 buck just to repair there hing-frame defect. Is there anyway to get the frame from somewhere (and void my warrenty) and put it on myself? e-mail tysonbarber@earthlink.net please

no, but you won't beleive this. they sent it back fixed with a note saying "your repair request has been denied" is that messed up or what? thanks for your interest.

If youhad to give them a Credit Card number when you sent it back, they may have charged you.
