| Disabling Beige G3 Internal Video Card
I have a beige powermac g3 that has been upgraded to include a pci usb card, a radeon 7000 pci mac edition and a 400 mhz g4 zif processor. Obviously the radeon is supported under OS X ( I am running 10.2.6) and works fine. Is there a way to disable either through software or a setting somewhere the internal ATI RageII+ video card so that the OS only sees the Radeon? I am getting problems with the mouse moving to the second monitor that isn't hooked up. I tried moving the monitor out of the way in the display preferences but I really just want to disable the internal card. Please let me know of any options that people might know about. |

Hold down the option and command (apple) and o and f keys and keep them held while booting the mac. This gets you into openfirmware. At the command prompt type in setenv pci-probe-list fffbffff and press enter or return then type in boot and press enter or return. |
