Reply With QuoteAFAIK, all HP dvd- writers are +R/RW types and will not work on a Mac as Apple does not support (yet) the +R format. I attached a Ricoh +R/RW drive External FW drive to my G4 and it was recognized by Toast. I burned a dvd with it but it would not play properly on my standalone dvd player. I would suggest that you look for a -R/RW drive to use with your Mac. Hope this helps.
