    iBook now or wait awhile?

I need (want) a laptop and the new 12" G4 iBook seems to be the most logical choice. Should I buy it NOW or WAIT until I'm graduating from HS and buy new for college? I want the 12" for the compactness (portability).

When do you graduate? If graduation is more than 12 months, I'd buy now and maybe replace it in a year (selling the old one, of course). If graduation is nearer, I'd maybe wait...

Well, it depends on your current situation. If you feel like you need this for class right now, then what's stopping you? If you don't have the money right now, start saving your pennies. If you don't need it now but you will when college starts, save your money and buy a new computer a month or so after the last expo before you start college, like MWNY 2004 if you start college next year.

I bought the 12' iBook. If you want it now, the investment is worth it, their is a lot to like about the new iBooks. If you purchase now and it basically sits around until college, then wait.

Forgive me Gia, but I need to say this one here:
What do women and computer have in common?

    Don't know?

After 2 months you can get a better one.

I think waiting is always better, but the question is: can you afford the lost time?

Wait sammy, wasn't it that after you finally have decided what you want and got that, the new, a looot nicer version will be out by the next week? (And hey, why wouldn't that be valid as macs and guys too) .. nicer, more quiet, smaller / cheaper for you / more hot looking, etc etc...
