    i want a webcam

i have been routing about to find a real cheap webcam, it dont need to do anything fancy or anything like that, it only has to do for my yahoo messenge sessions so brilliant video quality is not essential.

i located this little number at the macwarehouse web site

    http://www.macwarehouse.co.uk/produc...=1&SKU=E470406

now in the discription this says its coss platform compatible, do i need any other drivers for it or will it work straight out of the box?

like i said the camera is in my ideal price range and it dont need to do anything special. Can i get some feed back on this as to weather it works ok with yahoo messenger.

    thanks

May I give you an advice? I would go for a firewire webcam and not usb. You will face some probs with usb webcams and will need to go for third party drivers which will cost you a little bit. You can pick any firewire webcam. Everything will work just fine. I have the D-Link 350C (or so) and I can use it perfectly with yahoo. My Aiptec USB webcam caused me a lot of pain and I needed ioxpert drivers (no freeware!) so yahoo could use the webcam.
Simply go for the cheapest firewire webcam you can find. No matter if the company says that it is just running on pc...

thnaks, so what your saying is to go to a cheap pc specialist and just buy a cheap firewire web cam from there. Seem like it's a bit to easy lol
