Sony Clie - iSync or Palm Desktop?

I used to use a Visor Deluxe for a PDA. I haven't synced it since going to OSX (I know, I know). Anyways, I don't use it much anymore.

Well, through work, I now have a Sony Clie. Nice little PDA...they've come a long way!

Anyways, I was wondering what people recommend using for synching. Can you use iSync OR Palm desktop, or do you use one or the other? Does iSync understand the conduits for 3rd party software?

I'll be doing this after upgrading my laptop to OSX.3

If you use categories in the palm for addresses/calanders/todo, use the palm desktop as iSync does not support categories. Otherwise iSync works fine, it does need palm desktop installed as it uses the palm desktop conduit.
