| Used PowerBook... Can I get AppleCare for it? Dunno if this is the right forum. Feel free to move this. Somebody at my dad's work is selling a PowerBook 15-inch 1.5 GHz, with an 80gig drive, yadda yadda yadda... the thing was bough somewhere within the last 3-6 months, and they're selling it at a pretty good price.... $600 less than purchase price. So, it's a fairly new computer, but technically used.... What my dad wants to know is, if he buys it from this person, can he get AppleCare for it?

| yes. apple care can be purchsed within 12 months of the purchase of the powerbook .. thus the first purchase by the first customer. and if you then still sell it within app warranty to one more customer, the apple care follows the mac it will be purchased to. |

| I'd jump on that one quick -- sounds like a real good deal of the screen isn't scratched and case is in good condition. |

| Yep -- I would also try and get as much paperwork (including the original sales receipt) from the seller of the PowerBook. You'll need this information when purchasing AppleCare.
