Unhappy Burner wont work! :(

Hi.
Im running a G4 iMac (complete specs in signature), and recently, the combo drive has been giving me pains. Whenever I try burning a disc, it shows me the entire (and painfully long, by the way) burning process, and it fails out on verify. It says the disc I just burned 'might not be usable'... And sure as hell, it isnt. When I remove the CD from the drive, there is NO sign of data recording on it on the data surface.
I've tried the SLOWEST speed, but still it doesnt work. Is it a hardware problem? Or something that can be fixed via software?

Thanks in advace!

DeltaMac will become famous soon enough
Try a cleaning CD (one sold for that purpose) which might help.
Try a name brand CD-R (such as Verbatim, TDK, Memorex)
Try burning a data CD, or burning an audio CD from iTunes, whichever is different than you usually do.
Try creating a new user, login as that user, and try a burn there.
If you can't burn any CD-R, and cleaning doesn't help, then possibly the drive needs to be replaced.
