Please check this:

I wonder what kind of ppl buy a mac mini and need so much disk space. For a fileserver the mac mini is kinda too expensive. For a video editing system it's way too slow. So, who would buy this combination?

ell, i'm vaguely tempted. I have a powerbook and a 250gb external drive that is full. I'm about to buy some kind of storage solution, and this is almost what i want. On the other hand, i get the idea it might be better to just shove a bunch of raid enabled disks in an x86 case, but then its not a mac format hd and has the associated irritations. Still, it works out as a lot of hd space. I'd really like to use mirrored raid, but that means 2x250gb just to store what i already have, and i'd like to have _some_ free space.
