scanners and X

as with a lot of hardware .. we're not sure if it works with X unless someone tries it. I've done a lot of searching and can't find (m)any flatbed scanners that work in X natively.

If any of you have usb scanners out there that would like to share your experiences, please hook us up. Especially if the scanner will work w/o Classic.
