| They Forgot Their Password I went to a clients house before christmas to instal a G4 imac running OS 10.2x, Now they have gone out and purchased a printer but when it comes to installing the driver software Mac OS ask for a password, They have forgoten their password as they have never had to install anything, Is there anyway of getting around this without wiping the HD ? thanks Leigh ![]() |

| Yes. Boot from the Mac OS X installer CD, by loading the CD in and holding the "C" key while starting up the machine. When the installer loads, there will be a menu at the top of the screen. In this is an option to reset the password. Once you've done this, you can restart the machine as normal and use the new password to login.
