Install VP7 upgrade over VP6 (Connectix)

If you are tryng to install XP into the VP7 upgrade over Connectix's VP6 you must follow the steps outlined below after installing VP7:

1. Copy the Extras folder with a zipped copy of XP from the original VP6 Cd 1 to the Mac
2. Unstuff the zipped "Windows XP Home.zip" file to "Windows XP Home.vhd"
3. Put the Extras folder in the ~/Documents/Virtual PC List
4. Open VP6, click settings, select Drive1 and navigate to the unstuffed "Windows XP Home.vhd" file
5. select New and then "Install from a previous version" and it should work.

VPC6 was released under the M$ banner. I did the upgrade and have had no problems, nor did I do anything you mentioned above.
Care to be offer more details?

My version of VP 6 came from Connectix prior to the sale to MS. Clearly there was a difference in the versions as mine would not upgrade without the above mentioned shenanigans
