| What would happen if i buy an iPhone from the States, and plug in my current Blackberry Pearl 8100 SIM card. Would I get service? They both use GSM/GPRS/EDGE connections. just thought I would check before "trying" this out myself. Thanks! |

| It will not work. The iPhone is locked to only support specific SIM cards.

| bummer. Actually I asked in the Apple store, apparently someone already tried, and they can use every other feature, except make/receive phone calls. guess we'll have to wait. ![]() |

| You can use the other features, but only if you've already activated it in iTunes by signing up for ATT's phone service. DVD Jon seems to have found a way to trick the phone into thinking you've done this now.
