| My buy was both well thought-out and impulsive. My contract with Centennial will be up in a month, I irrevocably need a cell phone, and the quality of my life would be bettered with a portable media device. I decided that instead of flaking through phones (lives usually ending when I throw them at my wall), I'd get something from my favorite company... that, and I finally gave into the hype of the "Jesus Phone". Is it even a possibility that 3G functionality could be integrated through a firmware update? Also, what are the best sites for 3rd-party apps/nifty iPhone-centric websites?

| my head has won. i'm not about to pay upwards of £1k for a phone just yet... ipod touch+cheap phone+cheap contract till iPhone 3rd gen for me...

| Qion: 3G will definitely _not_ be a "firmware update". It's a radio chip and circuitry that's missing.
