Ipod networking update?

Hi, I'm coverting my iPod to Mac right now. When I try to install the iPod install software, it gives me an error that it can't download because I need the Mac OSX Networking update. Do you have any idea on how I may get this update or try to work around it? I have installed this on my PC before, so their is not iPod deffects.

What version of OS X are you running? If it's 10.1.x, then you probably need this:

What version of the iPod software are you trying to install? The most recent version is 2005-11-17:

Hmm... you might want to try re-downloading the iPod software from that link I posted. An Apple technote confirms that the "Networking Software" error is due to trying to install older iPod software under Mac OS X 10.4.x:

I tryed getting the most recent iPod updater on my Mac. When I was trying to install it, it would say their is nothing to install, but you could see that there were stuff to install.

From my experience, iPod Software Update packages just install another version of the iPod Updater, and it keeps the older versions around as well. Perhaps the newest updater is already installed, but you're somehow running the older version.

The newest version should be here:

Applications > Utilities > iPod Software Updater > iPod Updater 2005-11-17.app

Is that the one you're running?
