What kind of DAC does the ipod 4g use?

I want to know what kind of DAC is in the ipod, and what kind of other processors are used. Ive heard about being able to replace the cheap 1-bit dac in cd players with something better but i want to make sure it is possible and what other modifications are required to have it work. I wonder if you can overclock it...

Your best bet is to go look around at www.ipodlinux.org - they have virtually everything you ever wanted to know about the iPods
