| 5th Generation iPod Issues
I just purchased a 5th Generation 60 GB iPod and have noticed that after unplugging it from the computer, pressing and holding the 'Play' button to turn it off requires several attempts to shut it down. Does anyone else have this issue? Is this normal activity for 5th generation iPods? Any other issues, remedies, and suggestions for 5th generation iPods?

I've had this on my G2, G3 and G5 iPods. It frequently goes to pause/unpause instead of off. There's quite a knack to it! Try flipping the "lock" slider on then off before you press and hold the pause/off button. Press it firmly and hold it. I think it's susceptible to "bounce". Another way I often have to use is to press Menu several times before holding Off.
