| ipod shuffle "waiting for ipod to become ready" My mac and itunes can no longer see the ipod. I tried to restore / reset, but with no luck. I can't run the battery down because I can't play this ipod shuffle at all (others in similar threads have suggested running down the battery with regular ipods). I downloaded the newest version of updater. When I run updater, I just get the message"waiting for ipod to become ready" and it never does. It blinks an orange light. if I hook this up to a PC, the whole computer just freezes. Any help is much appreciated |

| This is a well known problem MANY people are having. Check out more details from others at the Apple Discussion forums. http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=820 Some people have found work arounds.. others haven't, except to go through Apple Care. |
