Accdentally deleted iTunes Library.itl

I accdentally deleted these files (iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.xml) and my library vanshed. All the files are still on my Hard Drive and my iPod, but I want the iTunes Library.itl back. Can I use the iPod to recover it (using the iTunesDB or something)? I really don't want to revert back to my backup of about 4 months ago and I want my current play counts, etc. Thanks in advance!
(I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.7)

You should be able to upload your library from your iPod to your Mac with YamiPod which is a free download:

Edit: I want to get the information back, I still have the songs and Yamipod only lets me copy songs, not playlists over...

Talking Unfortuate, but you may be able to recover...

That is truly unfortunate, but you may have a ray of hope. Try using a shareware app, called Senuti, http://www.fadingred.org/senuti/ It should do what you are needing. In the future, however, I suggest a backup or when Leopard is released, use Time Machine.

Good luck!
