Thumbs down JBL On Time - HELP!

Hey folks.

I am puzzled by this product. It says if I navigate to the song I want to wake up to, press play, then turn off the Ipod, I will wake up to that song.

Instead, when the alarm activates, the screen of the Ipod shows the song I want briefly, then goes to the first song on the Ipod and begins playing that. When activated by the alarm on the JBL On Time, the Ipod WILL NOT play any song other than the first song on the Ipod!

I have looked all over the internet for answers and have found nothing. The Apple Store says I need to ask JBL about their product. A review I read (after purchasing) about this product says I need to wait for an Ipod update from Apple. I have updated twice since purchase and currently have version 1.2 on a 30g video Ipod. Still no change.

This seems like it's such an easy fix. But I certainly can't figure it out. If you have any suggestions, ideas, or know exactly what's wrong and can help me...Please do.

Thanks in advance!

I found the answer! I need to download an earlier firmware for the Ipod. Ipod Updater 2005-11-17. If any of you are having this problem, download the software, install it on your ipod, and the problem is fixed.

Time to go to the JBL support page and see if there is a new firmware out for them, etc.
