Using iPod as hard drive

After setting my Pod to "Enable disk use" I copied my Music file from iTunes onto my iPod using Finder - as a backup. I now have 24 GB shown as "other" on my Pod.

So, I now want to move that backup back onto my Mac Hard Drive BUT it does not show up in Finder - or anywhere else, when I look at the iPod! How can I move it off my Pod or at least - get rid of it? I no longer need that backup as I created another using "backup from iTunes.

I assume the only way is to "reset" the iPod? Anyone have a better idea?

OK - so I "Restored" the iPod - it wiped all the data and reloaded the Music, videos, etc. elimintating the backup. Hell of a way to run a business!
