ipod wont turn on, stuck in diagnostic mode...

so i dont know how or why but my ipod nano (old version) wont turn on (its not on hold) and there is a very faint image of what looks to be the ipod's diagnostic tests...the title at the top of the screen says "ipod diagnostic {dont knwo what the rest says beacuse it is too hard to read}"

if anyone can tell me how to fix this, i'd greatly appriciate it...thanks!
