and the "Get CD Track Names" did not pull these names down?

I would re-import these exact same CD's and hope that works.
Option two for me would be to use a program called ieatbrainz, does a decent job. A better job if your music is more mainstream.
Last resort would be to enter each field manually.

Do you ever back up your data? If not, this would be a great example of why it's a good idea.

Are the track names with normal Latin character set?
I once saw something like that happen - all the track names were gone when anything was pulled to the iPod, because the tracks in questions had the track information in Hebrew. iTunes showed if fine, but since iPod didn't ... it was all fine in iTunes, and everything was Artist 1 - Track 1 in iPod.
