Formatted iPod in Disk Utility, Help!

I used Disk Utility to format my iPod for 27.??GB. After that, when i plugged the 5.5Gen 30GB iPod in, it had a grey screen which said "okay to disconnect/do no disconnect". It wasn't all shiny like normal. It said something like "Plug iPod into computer and restore with iTunes". I've plugged it in and it wont appear in iTunes.

What am I doing wrong?

Solution: Rebooted computer and tried again.

Problem solved, sorry.
