iTunes freezing

I just bought a bunch of new music, videos, and games. When I tried to open iTunes again to upload the new stuff to my iPod, the little thinking rainbow pinwheel thingy came up whenever i moused over the window, and it doesn't go away. I have to force quit to get it to close. Any help?
