| ipod 120 GB
I recently bought a 120 GB Ipod thinking it would be compatible with my computer. My computer is an iMac and is about two years old. It runs under Mac OS X version 10.4.8. I need Mac OSX 10.4.11 though which I didn't realize. Anyways when I tried to download the songs onto my iPod i couldn't because my iTunes is not the 8.2 version so then i tried downloading the 8.2 version and couldn't because you have to have Mac OS X version 10.4.11 to work 8.2. I've been to the apple site and have tried to download the 10.4.11 update but it stopped downloading about halfway through. Do I have to buy the 10.4.11 installation cd or is there downloads on apple I missed, or maybe I have to download the version 10.4.9 update before the 10.4.11 first, I just have no idea. If anyone can help that'd be amazing. This problem is becoming beyond frustrating. Thanks!

Hi Ann, Welcome - and don't worry that will be easy to solve. You will need to get Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo update. http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24901 lists the versions. If your Mac is an Intel based Mac, then use this link http://support.apple.com/downloads/M...Update__Intel_ If it's a PPC based Mac, then this http://support.apple.com/downloads/M...o_Update__PPC_ If you are not sure which Mac you have - which model is it? Someone will help you find out if in doubt. The Mac model will tell. (or About This Mac... from the Apple in upper left corner > the processor info. If it lists an Intel something, then it is an Intel based one)
