Itunes wont let me put tracks on my Ipod Classic..

Hi everybody,

I am aware that other people have had a similar problem to mine but none of the suggested solutions have worked so I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas..

Basically, after syncing my ipod, I go to eject it and get the hugely annoying message that the Ipod cant be ejected because it "contains files that are in use by another application".
I dont understand this as no other applications are running at the time. Then, when I click OK and try to eject again, the Ipod is ejected but shows no music. Interestingly the space is still used up on the Ipod, as if the music is there but cant be read..

I can load music onto my old Ipod with no problems whatsoever which makes me think the problem is with my new Ipod which will be annoying as it is only 3 months old.

The other thing that I think is probably relevant is that the problem only began after I reinstalled OS X which I was forced to do after my mac had one of those "kernel panics".

Any ideas that could help me avoid having to get a new Ipod will be great!
