Classic doesn't start up: it freezes my g4

Hi

Every time I attempt to start up Classic it crashes/freezes the all computer.

I tried starting Classic with the 'Mac OS 9.2.2 All' set of extensions and with the 'Base' set too but neither of them works -they both crash-.

If I start the computer from OS9 it works fine.
I don't understand how this can happen: if there's any extension in conflict, why it works from OS9 and not in Classic?

Main point: What can I do to have Classic running again on my machine?

Thank you in advance
Lara

Are you sure that your version of OS 9 is up to 9.2.2? Boot into OS 9 and check from within there to see if it says 9.2.2.
