| Using AOL on older Mac I was helped here once, by receiving a link to the downloads that upgraded my Mac OS 8.6 to Mac OS 9.2.2 Can anyone, please, help me out again and get me this link, please? This is the first request. request # 2. I have an AOL account and Mac OS 8.6 gets the message that AOL site requires newer browser. No browser is available online as far as I can tell. Please, who can offer me advice, how can I start using my AOL web mail with this Mac? It's very essential. Who can help to install apps in dmg. format? I have some Mac apps in it but the machine doesn't want to read them? What do I do wrong? Or, this is the 'low OS 8.6" doesn't let me upgrade itself? Would really appreciate your advice/assistance. | Sorry to be so late - but better late than never. First - you can not upgrade by a download to 9.2. You need to purchase the OS 9 CD. What browser are you using to get to the AOL web mail? Try downloading and installing Internet Explorer or the latest Netscape for you system. .dmg is disk image. Go here for Disk Copy - http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/288 Once installed, those files will open.
