| Quicktime crashes!!
Can anyone help me? I recently updated quicktime using the software update, but now it does not open. My Mac just gives me the "unexpectedly quit" notice. So I reinstalled quicktime 6.5.2 but it still crashes. I am using an iBook G3 800mhz running OS 10.2.8. Any help would be great as i use quicktime quite extensively. Happy New Year by the way! |

Locate the QT preference and plist files and trash them. Then re-try. com.apple.Quicktime.Plist file is located in /library/Preferences. QT preference file is located in /Users/YOURNAME/Library/Preferences. Trash those files and reopen Quicktime to see if that works. |

Hi There, I tried the above to no aviail. The com.apple.Quicktime.Plist did not exist and I have also tried deleting any mention of Quicktime 6.5.3 on my mac and re-installing it then repairing permissions. Still no luck. I have also tried using Onyx but this then froze during the scanning and I had to force quit it and since then that application will not launch either....aaaaargh! Any other suggestions would be appreciated. |
