shockwave flash

I am trying to help a friend with her computer.. she has a Mac w/ os 9.2
when she uses the internet she recieves this message... "plugin > shockwave flash NP-PPC allocating more memory to Internet Explorer may help".........wondering what the message means and how to "fix" the problem....THX
