Talking Building an mac...

Hey all i got an iMac G3 Logicboard, the cd-rom for it, and the hard drive. Basically i want to get this logicboard running and just use it as a regular motherboard. It has a VGA connector on the back so i know that i can hook up a monitor. The problem i am having though is i can't seem to see how i am going to get a power supply attached. It's really weird it has some kind of powerboard it uses. I know i got most of the stuff, i just don't know how to get the power supply to work.

Anyways let me know if there is a way to get a power supply working, or if i should just scrap the parts and sell them.

thanks

-Thomas Johnson

You'll either need to modify a standard ATX power supply for the custom pin configuration of the iMac logic board, or acquire a power supply that is specific to that motherboard.

Here's a couple places to start:

A simple Google search will turn up what you need to modify an ATX power supply for the iMac.

Thanks...but those aren't very detailed, i think i might know someone who could help me but it would be nice if you could post some more links i am looking for some on google, i am so glad that people have done this before, it would seem like such a waste for a logic board.

Thank you! But if anyone wants to help that would be great!
