| Start up disc problem This is just a simple problem for most people but I have a G4 running OS 9.2.1 with old software including Quark 4 and Photoshop 5. Recently I upgraded my system software to Tiger and I have continued using Classic to access my old software. I presume because of everything I have running that I keep getting a window message telling me to delete some files because my start up disc is full. What I need to know is what is the best and most economical way to go, should I purchase an external hardrive, invest in a mini mac and perhaps run Tiger seperately or upgrade software and just run Tiger on my computer or is there another way that is not too expensive? I would be grateful for any advice. |

| If you're low on disk space, Tiger is _never_ any fun. And you'll run out of disk space a little later, if you simply remove some stuff now. You'll want 5 to 10 GB free at least - at _all_ times. I'm all for the minis, btw., but an external FW drive could already be enough right now. Might be the cheapest (and not too shabby) solution. Just make sure you install OS X on the _biggest_ drive.

| Thanks for the reply, I have seen a MiniMax with 250 GB on offer at the Apple Store would that do the job. |
