| ! exclaimation mark
theres an exclaimation mark next to my printer, in the print menu in apple works. Why is that there? why can't I print? |

welll it was a question from a friend was just wondering what that Exclaimation mark *means*. but it was: same printer, somethign changed. |

The print que has probably been stopped, due to the printer giving an error (not enough paper, ink, etc)... in any case, you must choose "Start Jobs" from the Printer menu in the Print Center application.

That exclamation mark means that the printer has an error. Check your margins in AppleWorks. If you have a line of type all the way to the bottom of the page, it will not print. If you have type at the very top of the page, it will not print. If you are out of paper or ink, it will not print. Click on the print center icon that has the exclamation mark and the queue will come up. In most cases, you will be told what the problem is.
