| Screen issue on Power Mac 9500
I picked up an old Power Mac for graphic/video work. But when I got the new iMac I gave it away to my Uncle. He uses it for the internet, instant messaging, and email. It has Mac OS 9 on the hard drive but he told me via phone that when he boots up it shows a checker board. What can he do to get rid of it?

I thik he means the diskette sign, which means it can't find an OS to boot up from. He needs to hold down the option key while starting up (I think?) and then he needs to choose Macintosh HD.

One more thing: You said that the PowerMac has screen problems, but then you say you gave the iMac to your uncle. Sort of confusing??

Sorry. I meant to say I got a new iMac and gave the Power Mac to my uncle. I was in a rush. Thanks for the help.
