Smile System 6 or 7... Anyone?

I am after System 6 on floppy disk (and System 7 since I'm being greedy!)...

I know I can download them, I have them (and by download, I mean these Systems are free now).

The system is for a Mac Classic II, I've just got one for nostalgia. Unfortunately, guess what, my G4 ain't got a floppy drive to put the system on!!!

I've tried copying it onto my PC Laptop's floppy drive, but I think something get's lost with the different systems etc.

    Anyway, anyone?

(I'm in the UK, but if someone has it, we can sort something out).

You get exposure in any one of the forums.

All you need is some one who is nice to help you.

Any one in the UK - with a floppy drive - willing to help?

Here's the silly answer to your question. Why not buy a US$70 USB floppy drive for your G4 and then you can transfer that file and even transfer files back and forth between computers...if that's something you are going to need to do.

Remember MusicWorks?! I used to LOVE that program for Mac SE.

    Cheers

Try downloading Systems 6 and 7 with your PC, without unstuffing/unzipping them, and install your decompressor on the Classic also.

Also, how do the files come out on your PC? What do they show as? It may be you are getting bad file/creator codes. I recommend also installing FileT&C on the Classic, and change the T/C codes to whatever they are on your G4.
    Systems:
2.5 GHz MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB hard drive, runs 10.6.8
1.6 GHz iMac G5, 1.5 GB RAM, 120 GB hard drive, runs 10.4.11 (out of commission)
    iPhone 4, 16 GB, iOS 4.3.5
