Angry Photoshop 6 can't find external harddrive

I just installed Photoshop 6 ( OS 9.1)
and it can't find the external harddrive
when I go to open file.
Could it be that I haven't Restarted?

Help, Thanks

Quick question. When you say "it can't find the external harddrive" do you mean as a scratch disk or when you try to look for files on your external hard drive?

Does your external hard drive show up on your desktop?

If we can answer these questions we can get a lot closer to a solution...let me know. Cheers!

It's when I'm opening a file, the external
Hard drive is not on the tab above,
It only displays the "desktop" option

The Harddrive is mounted & visible on the desktop.

Cheers

Cheryl will become famous soon enough
Have you tried going to the desktop, then select the drive from there?

When you installed Photoshop, did it prompt you to restart?

Strange...you could try double clicking on the file on the hard drive to "force" it to open in photoshop, assuming it's a photoshop file in the first place of course. What kind of drive are you using?
